On Thursday 16th March the Year 12 Dance students travelled to Sydney Opera House to watch the Sydney Dance Company. The students witnessed a spectacular performance of wonderful artistry by the company dancers and the sound, lighting and costumes were a visual delight.
We first observed the dancers warm up and stretch and had a discussion with the Artistic Director. This was followed by two amazing, abstract and very inspiring performances. The show then finished with question-and-answer time with dancers and creators which gave the students some real insight into the choreographic process and the life of a company dancer.
