On Monday 12th August, our Year 9 students had an incredible opportunity to experience history up close and personal! We were thrilled to welcome Shane Blackman from WW1 Living History, who brought an amazing collection of World War One artefacts right into our school.
From authentic war-time relics to fascinating movie props, Shane had it all. The students were absolutely captivated, eagerly listening as Shane shared the stories behind each piece. The room buzzed with curiosity as they asked countless questions, exploring the realities of life during the war through these tangible connections to the past.
It was a hands-on history lesson like no other, and our students left with a deeper understanding and appreciation for this pivotal time in history. What an unforgettable experience!
