LEARNING SUPPORT

At St Peter’s Catholic College the Learning Support department implement the policy of inclusive education. Our aim is to give students with a disability the right to participate in all courses and to use all the facilities offered by the college.

Years 7-10
  • The Learning Support department improves learning outcomes, the co-teacher is in core subjects and is usually the caseworker for validated students. As well as in-class support, we offer assessment and homework help. We also work with families to improve participation on camps and excursions.
Years 11-12
  • Additional support is available in some classes and in assisted study. Disability Provisions for exams and NESA assessments are implemented. Vocational experiences such as transition to work programs and career expos are offered.

These support programs aim to increase the confidence of our students so that they can achieve their potential in a safe, compassionate environment.
