As part of our Pathways Literacy Program, selected students from Years 5, 6 & 8 had the amazing opportunity to take part in a writing workshop led by published children’s author — and St John Fisher teacher — Brett Perkins! Brett’s passion and expertise lit up the room, captivating and inspiring students to dive into their writing with enthusiasm and confidence. It was beautiful to see our Catholic Schools Broken Bay primary and secondary students collaborating to produce their writing pieces — as you can see by the photos, many friendships were made on the day. A huge thank you to Brett for generously sharing his time and talent to make this workshop such a valuable experience
As part of our Literacy Program, students have been working in teams to craft stories exploring different life and career pathways, inspired by guest speakers from our parent community. At our St Peter’s writing workshop, we were thrilled to welcome actor and former Home and Away star Amy — also one of our CSBB parents — who shared insights into her exciting career in television. Her visit sparked imaginations and inspired many budding storytellers and performers! Thank you to Amy for taking the time to share her career journey with us
To wrap up this immersive program, students will present their stories at our Pathways Literacy Showcase later this month. We can’t wait to see the incredible journeys their imaginations have taken them on!
