Despite challenging weather conditions that forced a shortened format, our girls’ team rose to the occasion at the recent CSBB Soccer Championships with determination, skill, and heart.
The opening game set the tone for the day. In a tightly contested match, the girls dug deep to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory. That crucial win was enough to book their spot in the final, and their momentum only grew from there.
In the final, the team dominated from the first whistle. They were clearly the better of the two sides, controlling possession and creating numerous chances. However, a resilient opposition defence kept the scores level, and the match remained deadlocked through regular time.
Refusing to be denied, the girls continued to push in extra time. Their perseverance finally paid off with a well-deserved goal that sealed a thrilling and emotional victory.
It was a performance full of passion, teamwork, and unwavering effort, a true testament to the team’s spirit and skill.
