Last Tuesday, our 7/8 Girl’s Touch Football team rose early to travel to Werrington, eager to compete against the best teams in the state. Following a strong performance at the Central Coast/Hunter Championships – where they lost only one game in the Grand Final to Hunter Sports High School – the girls were excited to see how they measured up on a larger stage.
The St Peter’s Girls played with tremendous spirit, winning six out of seven of their pool games, only dropping a game against our CSBB counterparts, Mt St Benedict. Advancing to the Semi-Finals, they faced their Central Coast/Hunter rivals and eventual State Champions, Hunter Sports High School, in a hard-fought match that ended in a 4–1 loss.
These girls continue to demonstrate their potential, consistently pushing themselves to new heights. Congratulations on being one of the best four teams in New South Wales
