The St Peter’s Open Girls Basketball Team had a fantastic showing at this year’s Basketball Gala Day, demonstrating remarkable teamwork, resilience, and school spirit. Under the leadership of Abbey L as captain, the girls gave their all in every game, showing grit and determination regardless of the scoreboard.
The team played with heart, supporting each other through every play and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the day. Their communication on the court and strategic play were impressive, with each player contributing to the team’s overall success. The girls’ ability to celebrate each basket with such enthusiasm and energy created an uplifting atmosphere that motivated both teammates and spectators alike.
A standout performance came from Olivia O, who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for her consistent effort, strong defensive plays, and accurate shooting. Olivia’s leadership on the court was instrumental in guiding the team through challenging moments.
While the team may not have taken home the trophy, they represented St Peter’s with pride and integrity, showing that success isn’t just about winning — it’s about playing with heart and having fun along the way. Well done, girls!
