Last Friday evening our College Captain, Elijah R, showed his leadership and commitment to community as a guest speaker at the ‘Reclaim the Night’ event at The Entrance Memorial Park, raising awareness for Domestic Violence.
For those who may have missed our previous post leading up to the event, Elijah was invited to join the board of The Central Coast Domestic Violence Committee, to be a young ambassador against DV, after he contacted them to donate his community grant of $2000 to their cause.
As an ambassador, Elijah will be involved in ongoing events such as this one, speaking against Domestic Violence.
On behalf of the College, Elijah and his family, we would like to extend our gratitude to the St Peter’s staff, students and community who showed their support by attending the event. It was also wonderful to see St Peter’s Alumna, Emma McBride MP, on the evening too.
We could not be prouder of Elijah – what a bright future this young man has!
