Earth & Enviromental Science / Year 12 Incursion

On 26th August, our Year 12 Earth & Environmental Science students were treated to a jampacked incursion with #AusEarthEd. The day was filled with hands-on revision and clever exam tips while diving deep into key topics such as sedimentary processes, fossil formation, and the geological timescale.
Students also explored real-world issues around sustainability, investigating which products are the most environmentally friendly and discussing practical ways to reduce waste. Some of the highlights included discovering the science (and the gross reality!) behind fatbergs, getting hands-on with choc chip muffin mining, and bringing ancient life to the present with soft toy Cambrian fauna.
It was a fun, engaging and highly valuable day of learning that left our future scientists both better prepared for exams and inspired about the world around them.
