With today being ‘the race that stops the nation’ we are excited to share some of our own impressive equestrian results!
Kya and Taj G, Sienna and Charlee S and Paige L travelled to the purpose-built Australian Livestock and Equestrian Centre in Tamworth in mid-October to compete in various equestrian events at the annual Inter-Schools Horse Extravaganza (ISHE).
The event attracts school aged riders from all over NSW and interstate with over 600 horses attending. All our riders represented St Peter’s with immaculate presentation and achieved some extraordinary personal best results amongst the large entries, including:
- Charlee S on her horse Ammy: 2nd and 3rd in 1m showjumping, overall Champion on highest points.
- Sienna S on her horse Miss Clijsters: 9th in her first Eventing competition (consisting of Dressage, Showjumping and Cross-Country jumping phases), also competing in 90cm showjumping.
- Paige L on her horse Mr Mungus: 12th in 95cm Eventing, 6th and 7th in 1m showjumping with her young horse Hazel.
- Kya G on her horse Bruce: 2nd in 80cm Eventing, 6th and 7th in 90cm showjumping.
- Taj G on his horse Manny: 10th in 95cm Eventing, 11th and 9th in 110cm showjumping.
Overall, the St Peter’s riders rallied together as a team to cheer each other on to achieve personal bests and had an amazing time at this incredible event. A very special shoutout to St Peter’s Team Manager, Giselle Lindley, for her guidance and support!
