Over the past few weeks, our Year 8 French students have been diving into the rich world of French culture through literature, cinema, personalities, music and art. One of their exciting hands-on activities involved creating Body Biographies of notable figures like Joan of Arc, Marie Antoinette, Andre the Giant, Edgar Degas, Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, and Zinedine Zidane. While no one picked Marie Curie, Napoleon, Jean Jacques Cousteau, or Louis Pasteur, the students brought fresh and inventive ideas to the table!
They also creatively included fictional characters such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Belle, and Aurora, along with modern icons like Kylian Mbappé, Francis Ngannou, Jess Fox, Jean Paul Gaultier, and N’Golo Kanté. It’s been a fantastic journey of discovery and creativity for everyone involved!
