St Peter’s had four teams enter the Broken Bay Girls Netball Gala Day down at Pennant Hills.
The Year 8 team was struck with injuries but still managed to start the day with a win. Unfortunately, they were unable get over the line again and finished 8th.
The Year 9/10 team had some very close games in the rounds and won their play-off match to take 3rd overall.
The Open team were top of their pool, going through undefeated against some tough opponents. Their semi final vs MacKillop was a tight game which ended in a draw, then going to overtime. In heartbreaking circumstances, they were not able to progress to the final and finished 3rd.
The Year 7 team (pictured) had a stellar performance in every game and only had 14 goals scored against them the whole day. They won the final vs Mount St Benedict 19-1, which topped off an outstanding day of near flawless netball.
All the girls put in their absolute best effort and represented the College with pride. Thank you to the coaches, Mrs Wilkins, Mrs O’Keeffe, Miss Nusdorfer and Mrs Pana for their support of the teams.
