Netball Gala Day Success! St Peter’s Catholic College was proudly represented at the recent Netball Gala Day with our Open Girls, Intermediate Girls, and Boys teams all showing great spirit, skill, and sportsmanship.
The Open Girls played with determination and heart, securing strong wins and digging deep in the tougher matches. For many, this was their final school netball carnival, and they did themselves and the College proud with their teamwork and resilience. A special thanks to Mrs O’Keeffe, who reflected on the joy of watching these players grow over the past 5–6 years.
The Boys had a challenging start but improved with every game. After two early losses, they bounced back with strong wins against St Paul’s and MacKillop to make it to the semi-final. Despite leading at halftime, they narrowly missed out on progressing further. Mr Barnett praised the team’s adaptability and determination on the day.
The Intermediate Girls were outstanding, going through the entire day undefeated. With impressive wins over Mercy, St Joseph’s, St Paul’s, and Mackillop, they backed it up with another victory over Mercy in the final to take out the title. Ms Baresic commended the team’s respectful attitude and positive sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Congratulations to all teams and coaches on an excellent day of competition and representation!
