Our 7/8 Boys and Girls Oztag teams competed in the Central Coast All Schools Gala Day last Tuesday, both displaying dedication and teamwork throughout the competition.
The boys were very humble in victory and defeat, giving their all throughout the day. They unfortunately missed out on the finals due to points difference, after conceding a try on the siren in their final game. The boys should be very proud of themselves for representing the school in a brilliant manner!
The girls went through undefeated in the pool games, winning convincingly against their opponents. In the quarterfinals, they were challenged to strip back to basics to secure a win over Erina High School. As the girls entered the semi-finals against St Josephs’s College, they again maintained their strong defensive line to progress into the grand final. In the grand final, they were matched against our strongest opponent yet – Central Coast Sports College. The girls maintained control while attacking and tagged hard in defence, demonstrating dedication and teamwork right until the end unfortunately going down 3-1.
The girls will now progress to represent the Central Coast along with Central Coast Sports College at the next level. Well done girls and good luck!
