Parents / Carers Actively Engage For Better Outcomes.
Research has proven that students whose parents actively engage in their school community have better academic and social outcomes. At St Peter’s the Parent Network is one way to create that engagement for parents/ carers. We rely on parent volunteers and encourage all parents to be involved and make a contribution.
The Parent Network has its own Facebook group where any events are advertised and online resources are shared. Information is included in College Newsletters for families who don’t use Facebook.
The Parent Network facilitates educational presentations, as well as social and networking activities for the community. These activities are driven by parent feedback and input from the school and Catholic School Parents/Carers. The Parent Network also works closely with the school to deliver targeted career skills development for students.
