St Peter’s Catholic College recently collaborated with local diocesan primary schools, St John Fisher Catholic School, Our Lady Of The Rosary, Shelly Beach and St Cecilia’s Primary School Wyong, crafting stories about the various pathways in our community. This program has been instrumental in enhancing students’ love for creative writing.
Students from Year 5 to Year 11 all worked together across workshops, sessions from volunteer guest speakers from our parent community, and enrichment days. Over the 6-week period, students created short stories where they were able to present at our Parent Showcase in their groups. This was a great celebration of our wonderful talented writers, and an invaluable collaboration with our local diocesan schools!
A very special thank you to the participating primary schools, our volunteer guest speakers, and to Kylie Bailey – St Peter’s Pathways & Partnerships Leader, for their contributions to this exciting immersion program.
