Book Week 2024 was a wonderful week, brimming with bookish activities and competitions that captivated our school community. Students loved the Matching Teacher with their favourite Book activity and the Lolly Guessing competitions with hundreds of entries. The festivities reached their peak on Thursday with a vibrant and joyful Book Week Costume Parade. Karinya was transformed during Break 1 as a parade of beloved fictional characters, brought to life by students and teachers alike, filled the space with colour and cheer. After enjoying delicious hot dogs prepared by our student leaders, the parade continued, showcasing our shared love for reading.
The day’s festivities created a wonderfully positive and uplifting atmosphere, a welcome contrast to the wet and cold winter we had endured. It was a perfect reminder of our deep appreciation for books and reading, and a shining example of the strong community spirit at St. Peter’s Catholic College.Â
