On the 10th of May, the U15’s boys travelled to Erina Oval to compete in the Central Coast Premiership (City Cup) Rugby League knockout Competition.
With a team consisting of 8 players who were not registered rugby league players, coaches Mr Hawkins and Mr Richardson were impressed with the grit and attitude these boys played with throughout the day.
This age group hasn’t had the best start to their footy careers at the college, coming into this tournament they were yet to win a game. However, history was made, and our fortunes changed beating both Gorokan and Kincumber High 12-10. Our only loss came against a very skilled and physical Central Coast Sport College outfit who were extremely well prepared for this event.
Chase D, Luke A and Brady M were outstanding on the day and deserve to be commended on the way they played the game.
The hard work that all boys had put into training in their lunch times and through the Targeted Rugby League Program was reflected in the results on the day. Well done boys.
