Senior Art students visited Lake Macquarie Art Gallery this week, to see an outstanding collection of 37, band 6 artworks created by HSC students in 2020. They engaged in a valuable discussion with the senior curator of the Exhibition, “first Class” who introduced students to several amazing artworks and explained in detail how the artists developed their concepts and technical skills for their body of work. Students were also introduced to the role of a curator and the complex decisions behind selecting artworks and displaying them for a themed exhibition. This inspirational excursion has provided our senior art students with an excellent insight into developing their own Body of Work for 2021.
