SECONDARY SCHOOL TASTER DAY EXCURSION

Moving from Primary to Secondary school can be an exciting and challenging time for students and parents. Students are expected to adapt to a new school environment, make new friends and become accustomed to different teaching methods and teachers. Our Taster Day is designed to introduce students to life at St Peter’s Catholic College as a high school student.Throughout the day each student will experience a program that could include Visual Arts, Science, PDHPE, HSIE, Music, Drama, Coding and Industrial Technology. Students will be accompanied by members of the St Peter’s staff and our senior students from the College.

TIME: 9.00am – 2.30pm
VENUE: St Peter’s Catholic College, 84 Gavenlock Road, Tuggerah NSW 2259
UNIFORM: School Sports Uniform and School Hat
TRANSPORT: Own transport to and from venue
COST: No Cost
WHAT TO BRING: Lunch and water bottle, notebook, pens or pencils and a small backpack.
There will be no canteen facilities available. Students will have both a lunch break and another short break in the afternoon where an snack and drink will be provided.
Students need to be dropped off at the St Peter’s “Student Drop Off/Pick Up” Zone located just within the gates off Gavenlock Road for a 9.00am start and need to be collected from the St Peter’s ‘Student Drop-off/Pick-up’ zone by 2.30pm.
For safety reasons, when travelling by car please collect your child from the ‘Student Drop-off/Pick-up’ zone located at the bottom of the hill inside the St Peter’s gates. Please be advised that this is a drop-off and pick-up area only, students will be guided to the meeting point by our staff.
