Congratulations to Bodi B who recently competed at the School Sport Australia Games, representing NSW for swimming, competing in the 50m Backstroke event.
The 2024 School Sport Australia Games saw 2,000 student-athletes from Australia, Cook Islands and Fiji compete in an 11-day long multi-sport competition on the Gold Coast.
As well as competing in their chosen sport, they joined several special events including a Combined Opening Ceremony and a Combined Championship Experience. Bodi also attended a NSW swimming team dinner.
Bodi’s dad described the whole experience as “kind of like a mini-olympics”.
Whilst Bodi wasn’t able to reproduce his swim time from the event he medalled in at NSW All Schools Championships, he made the final to finish a commendable 8th! He is hoping to be back next year to compete in his more favoured freestyle distance events.
