Touch Football / Senior CSBB Championships

Our Senior Girls and Boys Touch Teams recently competed in the CSBB Touch Football Championships at Nolan Reserve on the Northern Beaches.
Our Girls Team had an exceptional campaign, finishing the day undefeated. Made up of players from Years 9 to 12, the team demonstrated that age is no barrier to success, with younger players stepping up alongside experienced Year 12 leaders. The girls played at a consistently high level, displaying outstanding game awareness, teamwork, and determination.
Despite their unbeaten record, the structure of the event did not allow for finals. After a 2-2 draw with St Joseph’s, both teams finished tied on overall points, with St Joseph’s awarded the championship based on try differential.
Congratulations to Ainsley M, Charlotte S, Elysse H, Emily N-S, Jazmyn G, Shayla W, and Tameka W, who were selected for the Opens Broken Bay Representative Team. Special recognition must also go to Ava M, Ella T, Lani G, and Lily D, who, despite being just 15 years old, played with confidence and skill well beyond their years, making a significant impact in attack and defence.
Our Boys Team took on their own challenge, competing with enthusiasm and athleticism. Although some players had little touch football experience, they adapted quickly, displayed creativity in attack, and competed strongly throughout the day. While results didn’t go their way, the team showed great sportsmanship and determination.
Both teams should be incredibly proud of their efforts, and with such a strong foundation, the future of St Peter’s Touch Football continues to look promising!
