Twelve very enthusiastic girls made up the U13’s touch team who travelled up to Doyalson recently to meet our fierce opponents. After polishing up their skills and learning to play as a team, the girls went on to win all their pool games convincingly, scoring a total of 18 tries with only 2 being scored against them. As they entered the semi-finals, they were challenged by Mount Saint Benedict. The girls adapted well, stripping back to basics to secure the win 5-3. In the grand-final the girls faced Stella Marist who put up a strong fight, challenging our girls to demonstrate their exceptional ball skills and speed. As the buzzer went it was a draw leading to a drop out where we unfortunately lost. The girls are to be commended for their resilience and perseverance, putting in a fight until the very end. You should all be proud of your efforts, working as a team to see a fantastic result! ~ Miss Nusdorfer
