On February 18th, our U15’s Touch Football teams travelled to Adcock Park, Gosford, to compete in the CSBB Touch Football Championships. This gala day also served as a selection trial for the Diocesan Representative Teams, who will go on to trial for NSWCCC. With the Broken Bay area being a stronghold of Touch Football, teams arrived well-prepared for the competition.
Our girls’ team was dominant, going through the tournament undefeated and securing convincing victories against each school in the diocese. In the grand final, they faced a strong St Brigid’s team, emerging victorious with a 4-2 win. This team continues to improve with each carnival they compete in. Lily D, Lani G, Ava M, and Ella T were outstanding throughout the day, earning well-deserved selection in the CSBB Representative Team. Congratulations to all the girls on this fantastic achievement!
Our boys’ team played with spirit and determination. Despite having limited Touch Football experience, they demonstrated great resilience, competing fiercely in every game. While results didn’t go their way, the boys represented the College with pride and gave their all in each match. Jett D and Hayden J were standouts, constantly challenging the opposition and should be commended for their performances.
Well done to all players involved!
