Yesterday our Boys U15 AFL Team competed in the Junior Schools Cup State Final and finished 5th, which is an amazing achievement! We faced some very well drilled and skilled sides including St Francis de Sales from Wagga Wagga in the first round, who ended up winning the day.
Our play-off game vs Endeavour Sports High really showcased the skill and teamwork that our boys are capable of and have worked to build over the year and was a real boost to finish the day with a solid win.
A big thank you to all the student helpers who were goal, boundary umpires and assistants, because without them the day wouldn’t have been able to run as smoothly. Shout out to assistant coaches for the day Zane M and Mr Denniss for their invaluable support and advice. Thank you also to Mr Hawkins for his organisation and tireless behind the scenes work to make these representative sporting teams happen.
I am so proud of this team not only for their grit and determination but for their support of each other, which made my job so easy.
