‘Inspiring Guest Speaker Showcase’
on Thursday 5th August at 11am (Lunch Break)
We are inviting many influential speakers on a fortnightly basis to talk about their journey from school to where they are today!
Our guest speakers will share – the highs, the lows, the challenges, their achievements and what it takes to be successful.
This will highlight the many different pathways available and what skills & attributes to develop to achieve your dreams.
As this will be a live experience, Guest speakers will be available to finish with a Q&A session.

Our first ‘Inspiring Guest Speaker’ is Patrick Cooper.
Patrick Cooper is an Alumni from St Peter’s Catholic College. He was successful to be selected for Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at University of Newcastle in 2017.
Working in professional basketball and with semi-professional basketball players with concussion in contact sports backed by the NRL and past players. As Patrick continued on his journey of his career pathway he made the decision to leave the B.Exercise & Sports Science prematurely and request a transfer into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours Program at the University of Newcastle due to his experiences changing his professional values and interests.
Currently working with the Central Coast United junior and senior teams (soccer) as the physio and recently having signed undergraduate employment contracts with Toronto Private and Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. As an ambassador of The University of Newcastle in 2018, highlights of which have been delivering speeches or interviews on television, radio and print media; As well as travelling around the state speaking at various events and schools typically on the topic of tertiary education. This has led him now to work on a joint project with UON and The NSW State Government
