R U OK?

Today is R U OK Day, our National Day of Action when we are reminded to check in on our family and friends, to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation that could change their life.
The conversations were flowing this morning here at the College, with a coffee van and a breakfast BBQ to encourage our staff and students to ask, “R U OK?”.
A special thank you to Brendan and Shermaine from Teridgerie Coffee for brewing a HUGE number of coffees this morning, and to the staff and Year 12 students that cooked up a storm on the BBQ!
The R U OK activities continued throughout today with a bake sale and music performance at break. Thank you to all bake sale volunteers, and our band for the Break 1 good vibes.
This year’s theme for R U OK Day is ‘I’m here to hear’, and there are some great resources in the link below for our young adults that may just spark them to identify when a friend is feeling down, and give them the tools to support them.
