Last week St Peter’s hosted the SHINE Youth Ministry Gathering. Youth Ministry at St Peter’s is extremely strongly supported by our students and St Peter’s represented more than half of the 145 students from all over the Diocese of Broken Bay including a school from the Parramatta Diocese.

During the SHINE conference, the students were alive with their faith, some for the first time, as they celebrated, prayed and reflected on their own faith journeys. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students and guests to encounter Christ and honour the St Peter’s values and to live as a disciple of Christ.

The day was one to remember and a culmination of work and assistance from St Peter’s students and staff. The St Peter’s Entertainment students provided their expert support for sound and lighting for the whole day. To co-ordinate all aspects of sound, lighting, vision and dealing with many different demands and requests by presenters, their professionalism and dedication were second to none. They had along and demanding day, but were up to the challenge!

The St Peter’s Youth Ministry Students put in an immense amount of effort with assisting with the design, running and setup of the day and the workshops, theley were very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Particularly a word of congratulations to Kara Woodley and Noah Acton our MCs; to Noah Acton, Nyssa Bradberry, Teagan Ayre, Kara Woodley and Jaimi-lea Andrews all who were courageous enough to share their own personal faith stories with the entire 250 students and staff in attendance.

We also recognise the support of all other teachers who contributed, big and small, to make the day a success.
